1. Start your day off fresh by drinking a produce packed smoothie.
(Almond milk in smoothies allows the produce to absorb more effectively. Cow's milk can line the stomach and cause the absorption rate of the nutrients in the smoothie to decrease.)
2. Get leafy greens in your system by consuming a large salad every day.
3. When you crave processed sweets, grab some fresh fruit instead.

5. Try to have a side salad as an appetizer before a meal. This helps you eat more fresh food and helps decrease your appetite so you don't overeat.
6. If eating out, have veggies or a salad as your side item. skip the fries.
7. Use fresh herbs to season your food and reduce salt and processed condiments. (fresh basil, dill, thyme, oregano, ginger, etc.)
8. Use fresh fruit juices as a salad dressing instead of heavy oils. (strawberry vinaigrette is yummy)
9. Try to eat raw vegetables as much as possible. Raw veggies retain all their nutrients, whereas cooked foods lose some of their nutritional value.
